University of Georgia Marine Sciences faculty, Clark Alexander is working on a project to predict how the Georgia coast—characterized by a complex system of barrier islands, salt marshes, estuaries, tidal creeks and rivers—may look 25, 50 and 100 years from now.

Dr. Samantha Joye (UGA Marine Science) recently published a perspective piece in the journal Science (8/7/15), calling for more natural baseline data in the world's oceans, to improve future oil spill response efforts.

Yuntao Wang, a graduate student working with Dr. Renato Castelao has been nominated for the 2015 Knauss Fellowship by the Georgia Sea Grant College Program, a unit of UGA’s Office of Public Service and Outreach.

The article “Fate of the Amazon River dissolved organic matter in the tropical Atlantic Ocean” by Medeiros and co-authors is one of the papers featured in Global Biogeochemical Cycles journal! Kudos to the authors!
