Originally from Augusta, GA, Bev attended Augusta State University where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and French and a Master in Teaching with a specialization in secondary science education. After teaching for two years, she returned to higher education and coordinated international programs at three institutions within the University System of Georgia, including UGA’s Office of Global Engagement.  She joined the Marine Sciences staff in 2018 as the Student Affairs Professional III. In her spare time Bev enjoys jiu jitsu, reading, being in nature, and spending time with her husband and two children.
