Julia Diaz, Assistant Professor with the Department of Marine Sciences at Skidaway Institue of Oceanography, has co-authored an article titled "Species-specific control of external superoxide levels by the coral holobiont during a natural bleaching event", which was recently published by the Nature Communications journal. The paper is about the production of superoxide, a form of reactive oxygen, by various coral species on a natural reef, and potential impacts on coral health. Check below for the link to read more about this study. We continue to be amazed and grateful for the contributions from our cohorts at Skidaway Institute of Oceanography.
