UGA Marine Sciences at the 2014 Marine Microbes Gordon Research Conference

The department was well represented at this year’s Gordon Conference on Marine Microbes. Graduate students Brandon Satinsky and Bryndan Durham presented posters on their Ph.D. research, focusing on microbial gene expression in the ocean (Brandon) and ecological interactions between marine bacteria and phytoplankton (Bryn). Christof Meile gave an invited talk entitled “Models of Microbial Metabolism: From Cells to Aggregates and Beyond”.
