Students majoring in Biology can now enroll in the Marine Biology Area-of-Emphasis. This program provides a strong foundation for graduate studies or employment in Marine Biology and related fields. The program is wholly contained within the Biology major – no extra coursework is required. Specific requirements can be found on the Biology program web site. Interested students can sign up for the program on Athena, beginning January 2016. The Marine Biology Area of Emphasis will appear on students’ UGA transcripts (along with the Biology B.S.). For more information contact the Biological Sciences program (Elizabeth Fuller: firstname.lastname@example.org / (706) 542-1691) or the Marine Sciences Department (Dr. Brian Binder: email@example.com / (706) 542-7671).
