In this course we explore some of the mathematical and computational methods used in modeling marine systems. As part of the course we examine ecosystem models (e.g. nutrient-phytoplankton-zooplankton or NPZ models), biogeochemical models (e.g. carbon cycle models), and physical models (e.g. models based on the shallow water equations).

Exploring Extreme Environments
Research into the marine systems of the world takes us to remote locations.
