Darien GA - "The SALTEx project is part of the Georgia Coastal Ecosystems Long-term Ecological Research (LTER) project. There are 25 LTER sites worldwide funded by the National Science Foundation that study long-term transitions in different ecosystems.

Savannah, Ga. -- University of Georgia Skidaway Institute of Oceanography researcher Chris Marsay is on top of the world—literally.

Undergraduate students visited the University of Georgia Marine Institute at Sapelo Island as part of the course MARS 1010L, Introduction to the Marine Environment.

University of Georgia Marine Sciences faculty, Clark Alexander is working on a project to predict how the Georgia coast—characterized by a complex system of barrier islands, salt marshes, estuaries, tidal creeks and rivers—may look 25, 50 and 100 years from now.
