Georgia Sea Grant
about us

EDUCATION

Education is an important component in all Sea Grant programs, but it is especially important for Georgia's. Because most Georgians live far from the coast, they tend to be disconnected from it. But the truth is they are deeply intertwined with their coastal environment. Sea Grant tries to make clear the direct linkages between inland activities and coastal ecosystem health, and in doing so educate Georgians about the ways in which they can choose to be better stewards of our coastal resources

Georgia Sea Grant collaborates with the Marine Extension Service in many of its educational activities.
