Overview
This is an educational study tour of the marine environments of Belize.
Students explore marine biology and field methods in marine biology and ecology.
It consists of lecture, lab, and field work in marine sciences during the
2009 Maymester that offers up to 7 credit hours.

boat access fees, and all "tourist" activity fees included in

- MARS 1020 (Biology of the Marine Environment), 4 hours, no prerequisites
- MARS 3900: Experiential Marine Sciences, 3 hours
OR for science majors for student having completed a year of majors biology
(required) and upper level ecology (strongly recommended):
- MARS 4510: Field Methods in Oceanography, 4 hours
- MARS 3900: Experiential Marine Sciences, 3 hours
OR graduate students in Forestry and Science Education:
- MARS 6510: Field Methods in Oceanography, 4 hours
- graduate directed readings course in marine sciences, 3 hours
